Position: 2nd Engineer
Vessel Type: General Cargo / Dry Bulk (Handysize)
Availability: End of September 2025

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, boilers, and other machinery.

Supervise engine room crew and ensure smooth operation in compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and company safety standards.

Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot engine and system issues, and coordinate repairs.

Maintain engine room logbooks, reports, and machinery records.

Assist the Chief Engineer in planning maintenance schedules and machinery upgrades.

Requirements:

Minimum 4-stroke marine engine experience on vessels of similar size.

Valid 2nd Engineer / Chief Engineer (STCW) certification.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, and engine room safety procedures.

Proven ability to lead and train junior engine staff.

Good English communication skills.

Contract & Salary:

Start Date: End of September 2025

Contract Duration: 3-4 months
